With Davis' work for the City of Portsmouth’s Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), we focus on setting the city apart from its larger, higher-budget, higher-profile competitors in neighboring Norfolk and Virginia Beach. We also work hard to overcome negative perceptions stemming from the City’s socioeconomic challenges that often dominate the news media narrative. We don’t let any
of that stop us as we promote a myriad of unique city wide events. We also undertook multiple massive rebranding projects for all five of the city's historical museums, two of which saw me as the lead designer: the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center and the Portsmouth Colored Community Library Museum.
