Elizabeth River Project

Formed in 1993 to clean up Hampton Roads’ nearly biologically dead Elizabeth River, the nonprofit
Elizabeth River Project hired Davis for a complete brand refresh. The goal was to expand the 30-year-old organization’s impact by increasing its membership and fundraising, and position the brand for the next 30 years. We responded with a new logo and inspiring tagline – Do Something Beautiful. The effort quickly and measurably increased support through new memberships and generous donations. This client and their mission has quickly become one of my favorites to work with, and I am proud that I was given the opportunity to not only develop the brand in terms of social media and print materials, but to also develop wayfinding signage and environmental branding for Elizabeth River Projects crown jewel, the Ryan Resilience Lab in suburban Norfolk, VA.
